A 20-year-old worker is hospitalized in serious condition at Brotzu Hospital after falling from a height of approximately 15 meters at the Regina Margherita Hotel, in the center of Cagliari.

According to the Carabinieri's initial reconstruction, the young man, an employee of a specialized company, was engaged in maintenance work on the top of the building. For reasons still under investigation, he lost his balance and fell from the roof.

First aid was provided by the crew of a 118 ambulance: the twenty-year-old was transported with a red code to Brotzu Hospital in Cagliari, where he was admitted for the necessary medical tests. He suffered numerous injuries but fortunately his life is not in danger: the fall was apparently broken by a pergola.

The surveys were carried out not only by the Carabinieri, but also by inspectors from the Occupational Safety and Prevention Service (Spresal) of the Cagliari Local Health Authority.
