Work continues for the reopening of San Michele Park in Cagliari after the fire that broke out on Wednesday 26 July and which affected the western ridge as well as part of the historic pine forest overlooking via Cinquini.

The park management contractor is completing the restoration of the damaged fence , placed to safeguard the pedestrian path that leads from the second entrance on via Cinquini to the castle, essential for the safe use of the spaces.

The water system that supplies the offices and the refreshment point was restored and correct functioning under pressure was verified.

Work is also underway to replace the lighting points damaged by the flames and to verify the correct voltage status of the system.

As soon as the work is completed, it will reopen to the public.
