They were caught during the night while trying to force open the window of a pizzeria on Via Corsica in Cagliari .
Two men from Cagliari, aged 44 and 47, both unemployed and already known to the police, were arrested by the Carabinieri and will have to answer to the charge of attempted aggravated theft against a commercial establishment.

The military, who promptly arrived on the scene, began a search in the surrounding area, surprising and stopping the two men in Via Milano while they were trying to drive away on board a van.
During the search , two balaclavas, a wedge-headed club and a crowbar were found, equipment that may have been used in the attempted break-in and which was promptly seized.
The two men were then taken to the barracks for identification procedures and formalization of the arrest.
The epilogue of the story saw the two men from Cagliari appear before the Court of Cagliari for a direct trial.
