From November 14 to the safety works of the trees in viale Buoncammino in Cagliari .

The intervention, authorized by the "Archeology, fine arts and landscape" superintendency for the metropolitan city of Cagliari, will involve eight examples of Jacaranda mimosifolia and two examples of Pinus halepensis , which "constitute a danger to the safety of the citizens who frequent the area" , let the Municipality know.

The works foresee a "lightening pruning" for two Jacaranda specimens, while the remaining eight specimens (six by Jacaranda and two by Pino d'Aleppo) will be removed.

During the works, the possibility of proceeding for the six Jacaranda specimens with a quarrying operation and subsequent transport for treatment in the municipal nursery of Corongiu will be evaluated. If, on the other hand, it is unavoidable, we will proceed with culling and eradication.

The eight tiles that house the removed trees will be sanitized and adequately treated in order to accommodate as soon as possible the eight substitutes of Jacaranda mimosifolia, already available, which will be planted in the coming months .
