Via Università is closed to traffic. The road that runs alongside the University of Cagliari's Rectorate was cordoned off after firefighters intervened to secure a dangerous municipal building.

To allow technicians to operate without risk, the closure began at 7 pm yesterday, Tuesday 17 February .

After the firefighters' initial response, further work will be necessary on the structure. The road will reopen only when safety conditions are restored .
