A Cagliari business has been suspended after the Carabinieri, following an inspection, discovered an illegal employee at work.

The owner of the restaurant business, a 25-year-old local man, was in trouble and was also fined €6,400.

The man caught working illegally represented, out of a total of three employees, more than 30% of the workforce.

Inspections conducted by the Carabinieri in recent years have highlighted how the restaurant sector is among the most exposed to irregularities of this kind.

Inspections will continue systematically in the coming months, following a strategy that combines targeted controls and preventive measures, aiming to decisively combat undeclared work and promote a culture of legality and safety.
