A scary evening yesterday on the CTM "PF" line, where a 37-year-old man of Tunisian origin harassed passengers and the driver, forcing the driver to call the police.
The incident occurred around 10:30 PM on Viale Poetto. When the Flying Squad arrived, the man, clearly agitated, was shouting at the passengers.
When asked to get out to be identified, he initially cooperated, but while the officers were speaking to the driver, he suddenly reacted, pushing and hitting the officers.
Restraining him wasn't easy: once he was restrained and forced into the patrol car, he continued to insult and threaten the officers, even kicking the side door and damaging the glass. At the police station, the 37-year-old maintained an aggressive attitude and attempted self-harm. Even the medical staff, called to assist, were unable to intervene due to his agitation.
The man was arrested on charges of refusing to provide his personal details, assault, threatening, resisting a public official, and aggravated damage . This morning, the investigating judge confirmed the arrest, ordering him to remain in his residence during the night.
