The traffic lights have gone, leaving a roundabout on Viale La Playa. And in addition to the new roundabout and the lights turned off, the speed limit has been increased to 30 kilometers per hour. This is all to allow for the continuation of work on the surface metro. From October 9th, traffic will change at the intersection of Via Riva di Ponente, Viale La Plaia, and Via Sassari . The changes are necessary to allow for the continuation of construction work on Cagliari's light metro. Preparatory work is due to begin soon.

Specifically, a counterclockwise roundabout will be established at the intersection of Via Riva di Ponente, Viale La Plaia, and Via Sassari. Vehicles approaching from roads merging into the intersection will have to give way to those already in the roundabout. The ordinance also requires the turning off of traffic lights and the implementation of a 30 km/h speed limit in the affected area.

The changes to traffic flow have been implemented to ensure the safe continuation of the light rail construction project and to allow for scheduled work to be completed. The municipal administration urges residents and motorists to respect temporary signs, pay particular attention when driving, and follow the signs posted in the area affected by the new traffic organization .
