They were seen during the night while, with a crowbar, they tried to force the entrance of a shop, in the Cagliari neighborhood of Is Mirrionis. The duo then fled, but one was tracked down and arrested. The facts date back to the night between Saturday and Sunday when the agents of the Flying Squad surprised the two, while they were trying to enter a commercial activity.

At the sight of the policemen they ran away. One managed to disappear, while the other – after throwing the iron bar at the officers – was stopped at the Santissima Trinità hospital.

During the investigations, the man gave false personal details, which were later unmasked by the photodactyloscopic findings made by the forensic team. The man, a 44-year-old, was found to have a police record for property, personal and drug-related crimes and was arrested for the alleged crime of improper robbery in competition and false attestation to a public official on personal identity.
