Via Roma, in Cagliari, reopens to traffic: final operations are underway to clear the road of barriers and construction site equipment.
The green light could come as early as today or tomorrow at the latest, a few days earlier than expected. Mayor Massimo Zedda confirmed this during the presentation of the new nighttime circular from the CTM.
The first section up to Via dei Mille was returned to the city last January. Now the second section up to Largo Carlo Felice is complete.
What's new? A narrower road compared to the previous version, with a larger pedestrian zone and green space. This inauguration is eagerly awaited by the residents of Cagliari, especially because it reopens a vital artery for city traffic, which has been impacted in recent days by the temporary closure of Porta Cristina. Construction work began on March 28, 2023.
