Cagliari: The fallen tree has been removed, and Viale Sant'Avendrace has reopened to traffic.

Viale Sant'Avendrace in Cagliari reopened late this afternoon after a tree fell and invaded the roadway around 1:30 PM. The fall damaged a parked car and a newsstand.

The task of recovering the enormous trunk was entrusted to the Santa Maria company, which manages greenery in the capital. The operation took several hours , complicated both by the size of the tree and the need to clear the road and restore normal traffic flow.

The collapse occurred just a few minutes after it rained in the early afternoon. Fortunately, there were no injuries . Firefighters, local police, and the Carabinieri responded to the scene.
