The accusations were denied and a different version of events emerged. The Cagliari anti-fascist coordination group responded to Blocco Studentesco , which yesterday reported two incidents of aggression : the first against the Via Cervi section of Cagliari and the second against a student at the Foiso Fois high school.

"During a student assembly organized in Cagliari in anticipation of the October 17 strike on school buildings," a statement reads, "some members of Blocco Studentesco allegedly behaved in an intimidating manner toward participants. Subsequently, on Via Dante, near the Casa Pound headquarters, several students returning home were stopped and attacked by several members of the far-right organization, mostly adults. According to witnesses, straps, helmets, and motorcycle chains were also used."

Then the reconstruction of the second episode: "The next day, at the Foiso Fois school, a member of Blocco Studentesco allegedly threatened a student with a belt , sparking a physical confrontation. Near the school, close to dismissal time, several adults were also observed seeking information on the identity of one of the young students involved. They were reportedly later identified by law enforcement."

"These incidents are reminiscent of what happened in Milan in front of the Einstein High School," the statement concludes, "where a student was attacked. The anti-fascist movement denounces a climate of violence and intimidation that threatens the freedom of political participation and the safety of students. Schools, assemblies, and the streets must remain places of discussion, not spaces where fear is used to discourage dissent."
