Cagliari, the complaint: «My 14-year-old son beaten by a gang at Poetto: what kind of youth are we raising?»
The anger of the teenager's mother from the emergency room: "He defended a friend, four of them beat him. Thank goodness there were no knives"Video di Massimiliano Rais
He defended a friend who had been insulted: "He simply asked what was happening. Result: he was beaten, spat on and kicked by four kids. The day ended in the emergency room."
The young man's mother recounts the episode in which a fourteen-year-old was the victim near a kiosk at the fourth stop of Poetto. She decided to describe in detail what happened because "I was lucky. No one had a knife, no one managed to hit him too hard and hurt him too much. But think about it the next time you see these scenes: because today it happened to my son, tomorrow it could be yours," warns the woman, " I would like this message to reach the mothers of these reckless kids who targeted my son today and that some of them realize what kind of youth we are growing up to be. Too sure of themselves to act in a pack and too cowardly to recognize that it is not right to take it out on a kid just to vent their frustration."
Lines written at 1:30 in the morning from the emergency room of the Policlinico, where the woman accompanied her son. Beaten up near a kiosk for the first time. But "since they hadn't had enough, they decided to call for reinforcements. After 30 minutes they showed up again and continued what had been interrupted. My son found himself alone to defend himself against these alleged Bruce Lee. His only fault was to think that with his own strength he would be able to manage the fight. At only 14 years old, you shouldn't get to that point", reflects the woman.
"The police were called and looked for the alleged gang, but without results. At 7 pm when he was leaving, they attacked him again at the bus stop in Viale Poetto near the Gieffe, while he was alone." A repeated attack, which the woman wants to become public knowledge.
