All concessions will expire on December 31, 2023, with no possibility of extension. Therefore, a new tender is awaited which will accept or reject the requests of the traders. But even if the document is clear, the unknowns remain.
«Moving from here certainly won't change our lives. There is certainly the uncertainty about the renewal of the concessions and this creates a lot of inconvenience for us», says an owner, who asks to remain anonymous. «We knew from before Covid that we had to leave, then nothing more was heard and we were left waiting, a situation in which we find ourselves today. It must be said – continues the entrepreneur – that continuous checks do not help and discourage us a lot . However, if they were to ask us to "move", we would be ready to follow what the Municipality asks us ».
«After all , there are places, eight in total. But this resolution, in addition to leaving us waiting for a date, worries us . If we had to move soon we would first need to maintain the vans, which have been stopped for a long time. This would make us close and lose revenue. But what if, having done all this, they don't have to renew our concession? We can't afford it», explains one of the owners of "Serious and Fast".
