The long-awaited news has arrived: State Road 195, between Cagliari and the Macchiareddu roundabout, has reopened to traffic on "both lanes." The green light came even earlier than the 4:00 PM time announced this morning by ANAS. Cars are once again visible on the state road connecting Cagliari to the southwest coast. In the most critical section, where the asphalt collapsed on Tuesday, the lane has been narrowed, still allowing traffic to pass in both directions. The reopening of the section "between km 5+220 and km 8+830" was established by an ANAS ordinance.

To ensure safety while also encouraging the resumption of traffic for all types of users, a speed limit of 50 km/h is planned. Further consolidation work, Anas further specifies in a statement, will be carried out subsequently, once the Contivecchi road junction opens.
