An 18-year-old Algerian was arrested by the police because he was considered responsible for the bloody attack that took place in the Marina district of Cagliari.

Yesterday afternoon near Piazza Sant'Eulalia a twenty-five year old Tunisian was surrounded by some foreigners who wanted to take away his phone: during the robbery he was stabbed in the throat.

The victim, who had also had stinging spray sprayed in his eyes, was immediately transported to the Santissima Trinità hospital, under code red, while the attackers fled.

The agents of the Mobile team, in collaboration with those of the Flying Squad, immediately set out on their trail, also with the help of images from the video surveillance cameras in the area.

One was identified in ser ata: the eighteen-year-old, legally in Italy, was found in the city center. He had no criminal record, now a charge of attempted murder and aggravated robbery is pending against him.

The search for accomplices continues.
