The young man, of Polish origin and already known to the police, was stopped at night by the Flying Squad officers while he was suspiciously walking along Via Sardegna.
During the search, a smartphone was found on him, which had been stolen a few minutes earlier in a bar, and also the sum of approximately 300 euros in cash, the proceeds of the theft.
After contacting the owner of the place, the officers were able to view the images from the video surveillance system, recognizing the 25-year-old in action. But the man is also suspected of other theft attempts carried out in a few hours in other clubs and shops in the area.
