Everything in Cagliari will remain closed tomorrow, Wednesday, January 21. The municipal operations center's decision was made following confirmation of a high criticality level (red code) issued by the regional Civil Protection Department.
Parks and green spaces, schools of all levels, nursery schools, cemeteries, city markets, both indoor and outdoor (with the exception of the wholesale fish market on Viale La Plaia, where only operators are allowed), sports facilities, art centers, libraries, public offices, and the university will not be open.
Given the new red-code (highly critical) severe weather alert, "the decision was made by the COC, the Municipal Operations Centre, convened and chaired by Mayor Massimo Zedda this afternoon."
Tomorrow's closure, the Municipality announced, "will also be useful for safety checks in public spaces and facilities. Specific ordinances, which will regulate the closures in detail, will be published in the coming hours."
