Two minors have been placed in a community by order of the Juvenile Court's investigating judge, at the request of the Prosecutor's Office, as part of the investigation into the violent attacks that occurred on the night of March 9, 2025, in the historic center of the capital.

The measure, carried out by the Flying Squad of the Cagliari Police Headquarters, comes just over a month after the precautionary measures taken on June 30th against three adults, all under investigation for the same incidents.

According to investigators, the two boys – together with their adult accomplices – took part in a double punitive expedition against the Navy.

The first attack reportedly took place in Piazza Sant'Eulalia, where a young man was kicked, punched, and hit with a telescopic truncheon, robbed of a gold necklace, and sustained injuries that are expected to heal in 30 days.

Shortly after, the group allegedly attacked two customers at a bar on Via Barcellona, causing injuries and serious damage to the bar's furnishings.

The investigation, conducted in close collaboration with the judicial authorities, was based on the analysis of video surveillance images, witness statements, and photographic evidence, elements which—according to the police—allowed them to identify the perpetrators.
