"Very high temperatures that are being recorded in the machine rooms these days." This is the reason why the Municipality of Cagliari had to establish a partial suspension of the service of the public elevators of Castello, starting from Tuesday 1 July until further notice.

The interruption was necessary to protect workers and passengers of the elevators, who could suffer blocks during service due to the high temperatures . The technicians of the maintenance company are working to find a solution that will allow, even in this period of great heat in Cagliari, to have the regular operation of the systems.

In detail, the suspensions will take place at the following times.

- Scalette Santa Chiara facility : every day from 2.30pm to 8.30pm;

- Unione Sarda alto plant : every day from 10am to 1pm (in case of adverse weather conditions warning, stop extended to 5pm);

- Bastione Saint Remy facility : every day from 11am to 3.15pm (in case of adverse weather conditions, stop extended to 6pm).
