The sign says that the parking ban will be in effect from 6:00 p.m. on September 11. But in Via del Fossario, in the Castello neighborhood of Cagliari, the fines for parked cars have already arrived. And the residents - who are dealing with a serious shortage of places to leave their cars - are protesting.

According to the signs placed by the Municipality, the parking ban was decided for reasons of public order. From Tuesday, the district of the historic center will host the G7 Labor: the ministers responsible for the sector of the seven most powerful countries on Earth will meet there.

Ubi maior, the Castello resident must leave the streets of the neighborhood. But the dates are clear: not from yesterday, when the reports were left under the windshield wipers.

UPDATE

The fines may have been issued because of parking restrictions for the Urban Trail, the race through the streets of the historic center. So: no cars in Piazza Palazzo, a flurry of restrictions, difficult times for those who live in Castello.
