A young man was run over by a car this morning as he crossed the crossroads in via Roma , in Cagliari , between piazza Ingrao and the regional council .

The investor , who was traveling aboard a Mercedes, tried to escape , but was caught shortly after by a local police patrol , which arrived immediately at the scene of the accident.

The injured man, aged 21 , was transported to the hospital in yellow code aboard a 118 ambulance.
