Cagliari, over 800 signatures asking not to "suppress" the "Lilliu" school
Parents are mobilizing against the merging of childhood and primary education at the institute in via StockholmaOver 800 signatures: these are those collected by the parents of the girls and boys who attend the various nursery and primary schools of the "Lilliu" teaching management of Cagliari to ask the Municipality, the Region and the Regional School Office not to suppress their scholastic autonomy, «as established in the region's resolution of 22 December, which provided for the merger with the Institute in via Stockholma».
Despite the holidays, the mobilization took place in the chats and the families joined en masse: they ask all those involved to review the decision which, with the creation of a mega institute with over 1300 pupils, would create difficulties in carrying out the projects , in using available resources, and in constructing, personalizing and adapting the teaching activity to the reference context. Furthermore, the families complain in the letter, in the new institute created from the merger of Lilliu with via Stockholma, there would be only one middle school (the one in via Stockholma), not capable of accommodating all the students leaving the three primary school complexes.
«We expected the merger with the Alfieri middle school, with which relationships of educational continuity have been established for some time and which represents the natural continuation of the studies of the pupils who attend our schools, certainly not the suppression of our school to merge it with a distant reality", says Rossano Mameli, president of the Club Council. He adds: «This is a wicked and illogical decision, which we are clearly against and against which, if it were confirmed, we will evaluate all forms of action and mobilization. We will not stop, we are a compact community and we have demonstrated this with the massive response of these hours, demonstrating how strong and precious the work carried out in recent years by the school management, the teaching and administrative staff of the entire teaching management has been" .
