The restoration of the statue of Sant'Efisio has been completed and today the statue was displayed at the end of the Easter Monday procession, another tribute to the warrior martyr who in 1793 averted the landing of the French with a providential libecciata.

As is customary, the sisters and brothers of the association dedicated to Efis Gloriosu brought the other statue, the one created by Giuseppe Antonio Lonis, the "Sardinian Caravaggio," to the Cathedral. It was an intimate and very evocative ceremony.

The procession passed through the streets of Stampace and Castello, reaching the Cathedral, before returning to the Church of Sant'Efisio, where the yoke of oxen was blessed in preparation for the May Day celebrations. The statue's protection measures were also announced: no regulations, but maximum caution is required to avoid damaging the statue. A meeting between the Archconfraternity and the Superintendency is planned before and after the Calendimaggio celebrations.
