It's not part of the Port Authority's plans; the gas station must vacate. Unless further appeals prove successful, Eni Spa must vacate the space occupied by diesel and gasoline pumps along Viale Colombo in Cagliari. This was mandated by an order from the Authority, which has now been validated by a Regional Administrative Court ruling in response to the appeal filed by lawyer Giovanni Dore on behalf of the six-legged dog company.

A comprehensive redevelopment plan is underway for the entire Su Siccu harbor front, from the Ichnusa pier to the Levante pier. Behind the Orange, between Viale Ferrara (which will be narrowed), Viale Colombo, and the Asse Mediano, a roundabout is being considered.

Right next to the area where the gas station now stands. Eni had received the eviction order last February: the state maritime concession, dating back to the 1990s, had expired in December after a long series of extensions and amicable agreements. The company had requested a further renewal, but only last April, complaining that it had not received any notice of eviction.

The dispute ended up before the Regional Administrative Court (TAR). The administrative judges cited an article of the Navigation Code: "Once the concession term expires," it states, "it is considered automatically terminated without the need for any formal notice or formal notice." At Su Siccu, a service station needs to be relocated.
