An offshore sailing race from Cagliari to Nora to Cagliari to create a virtuous circle of solidarity , through the direct contributions of Lions members, the support of private sponsors, and the involvement of public institutions. The ultimate goal is to purchase a two-seater sailing vessel designed to allow sailing therapy for people with disabilities.
The vessel will then be loaned free of charge to the Cagliari Section of the Italian Naval League , with the formal commitment to look after it and make it available free of charge to people with disabilities, thus ensuring inclusive and continuous access to the sport.
The event is scheduled for April 26th for the sailing race , and then with a fundraiser during the event scheduled at the Melis theatre in Cagliari for May 15th . Among other participants in an evening of fun, music and fashion, Alessandro Pili, mayor of Scraffingiu, will also be there.
The collaboration between the Lions and the Vento di Shardana association stems from a shared vision of values and goals , which are expressed in a shared vision of promoting the social, cultural, and human growth of the area. Specifically, the initiative aims to promote offshore sailing among young people and the less fortunate as a valuable educational experience, capable of instilling the principles of inclusion , discipline, teamwork, and respect for the sea and the environment.
