More opportunities for adult education, with new courses in language, computer science, middle school, and active citizenship.

This is the new training program offered by CPIA 1 Cagliari (Provincial Center for Adult Education), presented this morning during a press conference at Hostel Marina, in the Santo Sepolcro area, which will host part of the educational activities starting October.

The initiative was born from an agreement signed between the Municipality of Cagliari , represented by the Councilor for Public Education Giulia Andreozzi, the CPIA1 directed by Giuseppe Ennas and the company Ma.To.Be Srl, manager of the Youth Hostel, represented by Andrea Zaggia.

"We are very proud of this agreement," said Councilor Andreozzi, "because it represents a concrete step toward more inclusive and locally rooted public education. It is an opportunity for everyone, with particular attention to women and non-Italian-speaking adults, who are essential tools for emancipation and for building a more equal and informed society."

The new courses will complement those already active in the afternoon and evening at the “Manno” middle school on Via del Collegio , but with a significant innovation: lessons will also be offered in the morning, specifically to meet the needs of those who, for family or work reasons, cannot attend in the evening.

"We have a very large audience, around 500 students, many of whom—especially women, mothers, and young restaurant workers—are unable to attend evening classes," explained Ennas. "The morning program was created to offer a concrete response, promoting integration and social inclusion."

The project was also enthusiastically welcomed by the City Council's Education Committee . "These are essential activities, but often complex to implement," commented President Paola Mura. "Structured collaborations like this deserve full support, which will continue throughout the committee's work."

Hostel Marina, which will host the morning courses, has also embraced the initiative, offering its space. "Breaking down language barriers and promoting integration are goals we have always shared," Zaggia emphasized, "also due to the nature of our work, which involves working closely with international tourism and foreign staff."

Classes will begin in mid-October, but registration is already open . You can register at the hostel on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday mornings, or online on the CPIA 1 website: www.cpia1karalis.edu.it.

Active courses will include: Italian for foreigners, English and other languages, computer science, middle school diploma courses, and civic education and transversal skills.
