A downtown Cagliari establishment has been suspended again for violating municipal noise regulations. The "Cafè Bistrot," located at Via Roma 51, will be required to forgo its outdoor tables and chairs from October 1st to 30th, 2026. During this period, the owner will not be permitted to occupy the designated public space in any way—either directly or through patrons.
The measure comes after investigations by the local police : on 21 October 2025, officers detected the use of two speakers positioned inside the premises to broadcast music to the outside , without a valid permit and without adopting the necessary measures to avoid disturbing the public peace, in violation of the regulations on noise pollution .
The company managing the business initially communicated its intention to convert the suspension into a fine. However, it subsequently withdrew its request, thus enforcing the suspension required by the regulation.
