The reopening seems closer and closer, but in the end it risks being further and further away. At first it was hypothesized for the beginning of the school year just ended (fall 2024), then at the end of the Christmas holidays, then after the Easter holidays, a month and a half ago. If all goes well, now, it will be after the summer.

For the Repubblica-Caracalla section, closed for over two and a half years for track doubling work, and the new Repubblica-San Saturnino section (just 300 metres completed last autumn) of line 3 which will reach Matteotti, we still have to wait .

The technical tests of circulation on the tracks last March, with the four trams crossed and side by side, gave a "positive result", a source reports, and there is no reason to doubt. But for the green light we will have to wait. The hope is that it can arrive in September, when schools reopen .
