A migrant was seriously assaulted in Cagliari's Piazza San Michele. The young man was found by the Carabinieri without documents, lying on the ground, unconscious and bleeding.

According to an initial reconstruction, he was stabbed in the head after an argument.

A Cagliari Mobile Radio officer revived him before ambulances arrived in front of the Church of the Miraculous Medal. He was transported to Brotzu Hospital in critical condition.

The military is investigating to understand what happened and the reasons that led to the attack.
