Cagliari: Man dies in front of passersby after falling ill while driving on Via Is Mirrionis.

Fear erupted this afternoon on Via Is Mirrionis , where AV, a sixty-year-old man driving a van, suddenly became ill. The man first hit a car and then fell into the flowerbeds at the roundabout between Via Cadello and Via Liguria.

The alarm was raised around 4:30 PM, when some passers-by noticed the scene and alerted the emergency services.

An emergency ambulance arrived on the scene and provided first aid to the man, but attempts to revive him were unsuccessful. State and local police officers were also present, regulating traffic and securing the area to facilitate the rescue operations.
