Cagliari, man attempts robbery with a broken bottle on Via Roma: arrested

Fear erupted in the city center, on the central Via Roma, where the Carabinieri responded to a violent attack witnessed by numerous passersby.
The alarm was raised thanks to reports from several people who witnessed the scene and requested the intervention of the police.
Upon arriving on the scene, the soldiers stopped and arrested a 29-year-old man originally from French Guiana, who was virtually homeless and already known to the police.
According to the reconstruction, the man allegedly attempted to steal some personal effects from a 38-year-old Moroccan citizen.
Faced with the victim's reaction, the attacker suddenly grabbed a glass bottle, broke it, and hit the man on the wrist.
Fortunately, the victim only suffered minor abrasions and was treated without requiring further treatment.
Following the investigation, the 29-year-old was taken to Uta prison, where he remains at the disposal of the judicial authorities pending the hearing to validate his arrest.
