The traffic closure on Viale Bonaria, at the intersection with Viale Cimitero, has been extended until October 17, 2025 , as part of the construction work to build the Repubblica–RFI Station link for the Cagliari light rail system.

The measure was issued due to "unforeseen events that slowed down the construction of the project" and follows the formal request of the contractor. The executive order therefore extended the traffic restrictions already in place, which will remain in effect from September 14 to October 17, 2025.

The main provisions concern:

  • Viale Bonaria (intersection with Viale Cimitero ): closed to traffic;
  • Viale Bonaria (section between Via Barone Rossi and the construction site ): revocation of the reserved lane, two-way traffic, speed limit of 30 km/h;
  • intersection of Viale Bonaria–Via Barone Rossi : mandatory right turn and one-way traffic;
  • Via Nuoro (intersection with Viale Bonaria): mandatory left turn revoked, stop sign confirmed;
  • Piazza Donatori di Sangue (crossing onto Viale Bonaria): Stop and mandatory left turn.
