He hit a pedestrian and ran away from the scene of the accident without providing assistance . It happened yesterday in Cagliari in the Sant'Avendrace neighborhood and the hit-and-run driver, identified by the local police, was reported and his license was withdrawn.
The injured pedestrian, a 58-year-old, was taken to the emergency room of the Santissima Trinità after receiving treatment from 118 staff .
The officers, thanks to the testimony of a citizen who witnessed the accident and the images from the cameras, were able to trace the license plate of the vehicle and the direction it took immediately after the episode.
The car was quickly traced, it was parked in Sant'Avendrace, and the driver was identified: he was fined, had his license revoked and was reported to the judicial authorities for failure to provide assistance .
