«I will experience the city and the area to understand its needs and requirements. I don't have any magic recipes and I don't promise anything other than my best effort." These are the words of Rosanna Lavezzaro, the first woman to hold the role of police commissioner of Cagliari.

Born in Turin, he began his career in the Police at the Turin police station. Then the appointments as police commissioner of Vercelli, Novara and Rimini. Now the arrival in Cagliari in place of Paolo Rossi, who has retired. «I know Sardinia and the south of the island well because I have been there many times as a tourist. I will work hard to get to know all the realities well. Policemen must convey safety, courtesy and education." She prefers to be called police commissioner («I recognize the linguistic version of police commissioner but I believe the position has priority and not the person who holds it») and has already received indications from her predecessor on possible priorities: «Like malamovida, a phenomenon I know well coming from Rimini."

Married, with two children, she reiterates her happiness at being "in a beautiful city and land" and at "doing my utmost to do a job that I love very much".
