The fire in an apartment in a building on Via Dalmazia in Cagliari was started by a flame from a gas cylinder. Two people were injured: one was burned, while the other suffered abrasions.

The fire department, four ambulances, and the local police responded to the scene, closing the road. The burned man was taken to Brotzu Hospital as a precaution. The other injured man was treated on site.

Rescue teams are currently securing the area and assessing any structural damage to the building , while the relevant authorities have begun investigations to determine the cause of the fire, which only affected the apartment. The owners' cats and dog, who initially remained inside, were also safe.
