Cagliari from the Red Margin as you've never seen it before
There's no trickery or deception in Marcos De Julia Photography's photos: just technique. And no, no editing or retouching.Per restare aggiornato entra nel nostro canale Whatsapp
The photo is Cagliari as seen from Margine Rosso. "It's a fake, it's a photomontage," the inexperienced will say. They've often done so, even in recent days, when faced with similar shots by Marcello Carro (here's the link to his Facebook profile) , who describes himself as "a professional photographer who doesn't intend to become one, but I love taking photos that capture emotions."
But there is no trick or retouching in the image which shows the beach, the Tower of San Pancrazio and, in the background, the lower part of Monte Arcosu.
The photographer himself explains the technique: "For those who say that the naked eye doesn't see the same thing and therefore the photo doesn't portray reality, and that alone would be quite laughable, I reply that it's instead a question of the eye and knowing how to observe the details of what surrounds us."
He had often taken a walk in this part of Poetto, "and I'd always thought, seeing Cagliari in the background and the mountains beyond, that a telephoto lens would make a very special photo, and so it was. As soon as I had a good telephoto lens and found a day with good visibility, I took the photo. And, incredibly, it came out exactly as I'd imagined it when I looked at the scene with the naked eye." There's no trickery or deception.
