The outdoor area of the former nursery school on Via Premuda, in the San Michele neighborhood, will be completely redeveloped. At its meeting on Tuesday, August 26, the City Council approved Resolution No. 232, allocating €300,000 from regional and municipal funds for the remediation of the area, cleaning up the courtyards, and creating new green spaces.
The project also includes the construction of additional pedestrian entrances and a new external lighting system, with the aim of restoring the structure's decorum and functionality.
"The building will house the Family Policy Office and become the new home of a family center, available to everyone," explained Councilor for Health and Well-being Anna Puddu . "This is another step towards leaving no one behind. Thanks in part to this resolution, social policies continue to be at the heart of the administrative agenda."
During the same meeting, the Council also approved the memorandum of understanding with the local restorative justice conference in the Cagliari Court of Appeal district, for the establishment of a city center dedicated to this innovative model.
"The first outpost will soon be operational in Cagliari," Councilor Puddu announced. "This service puts the victim back at the center of attention and helps repair the harmful consequences of crime through criminal mediation. This model, which is close to local communities, will soon have a location in the city."
