Hundreds of soldiers will be deployed in cities, along the coast, and on inland roads to ensure safety during the Ferragosto holiday.

The Cagliari Provincial Command of the Carabinieri has prepared an extraordinary plan of controls that will involve all eight companies and 85 stations of the force, with the support of special units, a helicopter, and naval units.

The operations, planned by General Luigi Grasso in coordination with the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Safety, are aimed at preventing and combating predatory crimes, with services ranging from patrols in residential areas to beach checks, from monitoring public places to anti-drug activities, from road safety to checks at sea.

Particular attention will also be paid to environmental protection and food safety : NAS personnel will carry out inspections of restaurants, entertainment businesses, and accommodation facilities, verifying food quality and compliance with health and hygiene regulations.

"I have asked the Carabinieri of the Provincial Command to make an extraordinary effort during these August holidays," General Grasso stated. "The goal is to ensure a widespread presence to reassure residents and tourists, with flexible and dynamic control measures, in close coordination with all other forces deployed in the area."
