He was at a friend's house to help him with some housework when, as he was about to climb a ladder, he was struck by a sudden illness that proved fatal.

According to initial reports, this is how Antonio Cerbone, 78, died: the tragedy occurred in an apartment on Via De Gioannis, in Cagliari.

The 118 emergency services responded immediately, but there was nothing they could do for the seventy-eight-year-old: resuscitation attempts on the spot were unfortunately unsuccessful.
