A 21-year-old man was arrested by police for aggravated robbery. At dawn yesterday morning, officers responded to a call for help on the 112 emergency line, reporting a recent robbery involving an elderly woman by a young foreigner.

According to the police reconstruction, the victim of the pickpocketing, a 75-year-old woman, was pushed from behind by a man while walking in Piazza del Carmine and stole her shoulder bag .

Despite her state of shock, the woman managed to attract the attention of passersby, who held the man until the police arrived.

Today, the investigating judge of the Cagliari court validated the arrest and imposed a ban on him residing in the municipality of Cagliari.
