He was driving the wrong way at high speed on the Asse mediano in Cagliari, at night, with a very high risk of serious accidents. For kilometers he dodged the vehicles he encountered along his path, which were traveling in the right direction, until a patrol of the Highway Police managed to stop him after a long chase. Subjected to a breathalyzer test, the author of the crazy behavior tested positive, with a blood alcohol level of more than three times the legal limit, and was reported with immediate withdrawal of his license and seizure of the vehicle.

This is the main episode among those of the surveillance activity of the Highway Police, between Cagliari and the rest of Southern Sardinia, for the Easter period and the holidays of late April and early May. 539 vehicles and 773 people were checked, with 341 offences and 40 licences withdrawn, for a total of 906 points deducted .

Among other interventions, the withdrawal of 40 registration certificates and the seizure of 24 vehicles stand out, with 28 reports for lack of insurance and 63 for failure to undergo inspection. Numerous patrol services were dedicated to combating speeding violations, which led to an additional 52 fines. In addition, 2 reports for driving under the influence of narcotics and 16 for driving under the influence of alcohol .
