They had drugs in their pockets. And it was discovered that they were hiding other substances at home that could be traced back to the trend of the so-called “purple high” or “purple drank”, a practice that is increasingly widespread among young people that, through a mixture with syrup, creates addiction with effects that vary between euphoria, apathy, drowsiness and extreme relaxation.

For this reason , two young men aged 18 and 21, respectively from Cagliari and Sinnai, were arrested by the green berets of the Guardia di Finanza.

The trouble for them began during a territorial control operation in the capital. When they were stopped, a dog from the canine unit immediately signaled that something was wrong . So the search began: the boys were found in possession of about 50 grams of hashish and marijuana.

The substances, divided into 52 doses of approximately one gram, were ready for sale. The checks were extended to the homes. Approximately 150 euros were found and additional quantities of hashish (approximately 15 grams) and marijuana (32 grams), 10 ecstacy pills, 0.5 grams of ketamine, 35 bottles of paracodine with related medical prescriptions, presumably false, and additional bottles of thicodin and toseine; substances, in fact, attributable to the “purple high” or “purple drank”.
