Over seven kilos of drugs were discovered by police in what the Flying Squad's Falcons believe could be a warehouse stocked with supplies to facilitate drug trafficking among the many clubs that fuel the city's nightlife. Just steps from Largo Carlo Felice and Piazza Yenne, in an apartment on Corso Vittorio Emanuele, officers discovered—hidden in several bags—approximately four kilos of marijuana, three kilos of hashish, and just under 40 grams of cocaine. Three young men were thus arrested in Uta on charges of possession with intent to distribute.
Those arrested were Simone Mellano (32 years old), Marcello Congiu (51) and Denise Serri (24) who were said to have been holding the drugs in an apartment in Stampace. In the last few days – according to the investigators' reconstruction – a tip-off on YouPol arrived at the Police Headquarters about one of the three suspects who, it seems, had set up a drug dealing business in the city centre . Hence the decision to launch a control operation on the three suspects, in a building on Corso Vittorio Emanuele which is located between a laundromat and a pub: first the girl was stopped who, having come out of the front door, started screaming and struggling, then the Mobile officers broke into the apartment.
