Driving with a false license plate and without insurance . A 48-year-old resident of Cagliari was reported by local police after being stopped during a check on Via Campania.

The man was driving a Peugeot 207 with a test license plate positioned above the original license plate. During the checks, he showed officers several photocopies of the alleged authorization to drive with a test license plate, registered to a company in Milan. However, the document did not convince the officers, who conducted further checks. The license plate, although made of metal and similar to the original ones, lacked the MEF code, the DGM initials, and the logo of the Italian Republic , which are mandatory.

The license plate was seized, and the driver was reported. He was also charged with the penalties provided by the Highway Code for driving without a license plate and without insurance.
