Two men arrested for theft last night in Cagliari. One, wearing a balaclava and Batman mask, broke into the vending machine of a tobacconist in the Sole district .

Upon arrival, the Flying Squad officers surprised him while he was still taking goods from the distributor. The man's brief attempt to escape was blocked by the officers. The vending machine had been broken into with a hammer, a screwdriver and a hacksaw, the man's bag had already been filled with packs of tobacco and electronic cigarettes .

The person responsible is a 51-year-old from Cagliari already known for similar precedents: in this morning's validation hearing the investigating judge validated the arrest and ordered the obligation to stay .

However, a signature was required for a 57-year-old homeless man from Cagliari who had smashed the window of a parked car with a stone in Is Mirrionis and then fled after stealing several objects . However, the man was intercepted immediately afterwards by the officers, who had received a report of the episode from a witness with a description of the suspect.

The 57-year-old still had some items stolen from the car shortly before, as confirmed by the owner himself.
