The drug was hidden inside some packages of shower gel and detergent. One kilo and one hundred grams of cocaine, transported by a thirty-nine-year-old, arrested by the Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Cagliari.

The discovery was made during a series of checks on drug trafficking carried out on ferries arriving from the peninsula.
The operation took place in the early hours of this morning at the Rinascita dock, where the military monitored the passengers of the ship that had just arrived from Naples.

The alert was raised by a dog from the canine unit, which focused its attention on the 39-year-old passenger. While at first glance everything seemed to be in order, the animal's insistence on some containers of shower gel helped the military locate over one hundred ovules filled with cocaine.

The drug would have brought in thousands of euros once placed on the local market of Cagliari. At the end of the investigations, the thirty-nine-year-old was arrested and transferred to prison in Uta.
