Cagliari, danger of falling trees: Via Diaz closed

Traffic has been banned on Viale Diaz in Cagliari, in the section in front of the Fiera, due to the risk of falling trees.

As strong mistral winds continue to rage in the capital, with gusts of up to 80 kilometers per hour, firefighters have deployed to prevent vehicles from passing along the road dominated by numerous maritime pine trees.

Old trees could collapse at any moment, as has happened in the past. For this reason, the avenue will remain closed, at least until the trees' survival is confirmed.
