Cockroaches live among the shelves, in the food preparation areas and even in the staff bathrooms: this is what the Carabinieri of the NAS of Cagliari discovered during an inspection in an Asian cuisine restaurant in the heart of the city.

The sanitary conditions found were such as to immediately trigger the closure of the business. The operation, conducted as part of food safety controls, revealed a "massive presence" of cockroaches - commonly known as roaches - nesting in various areas of the premises, including changing rooms and toilets reserved for staff.

The military ordered the official blocking of the business and the immediate suspension of the supply of food and drinks. The manager was also given administrative sanctions for violation of the hygiene and health regulations set out in Legislative Decree 193/2007. The restaurant will remain closed until the minimum hygiene and cleanliness conditions are restored, and only after the green light from the Health Authority.
