The Digos executed a house arrest warrant against a 30-year-old Cagliari rival, accused of resisting arrest, assault and illegal possession of explosive material.

The measure was adopted as part of the investigation conducted by prosecutor Emanuele Secci into the clashes that occurred in front of the port, where the ship Trieste was docked, during a demonstration against the military exercise Joint Stars.

Luca Rassu, defended by the lawyer Carlo Monaldi, ended up under house arrest, accused of having thrown a firecracker that slightly injured a policeman. During a search that took place on May 14, 2025 - a few days after the demonstration - in the Kasteddu workshop, which he frequented, the men of the Digos had seized seven large firecrackers that the Cagliari investigating judge has now deemed to be real firecrackers.
